Toshiba has released another upgrade to their 32" budget HDTV market with the Regza 32XV505DB. Their latest Regza model is capable of displaying full HD, 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, and comes at a pretty price point.

Another very impressive number up the 32XV505DB's sleeve is its claimed contrast ratio of 30,000:1. Achieved with the help of a dynamic contrast arrangement, this figure is easily one of the highest we've yet seen attached to a 32in TV. Fingers crossed it turns out to be more than just Toshiba playing ‘the specification numbers game'.

Toshiba and SanDisk are not partnering to develop the next line of memory cards, to surpass the capabilities of the current flash memory. While the idea of 3D Memory is not new, actual development has not been attempted on this scale. What Toshiba and SanDisk hope to accomplish is a rewritable 3d Memory media.

You may have heard of another player in the 3d Memory market by the name of Matrix. In 2005 SanDisk acquired Matrix, which had already developed a non-rewritable 3d Memory design.

No matter what, expect several years from now before you actually have to replace those little flash disks you keep in your cameras, laptops, video cameras, wherever.

It's called the Toshiba Protege R500-S5007V and it's yelling out that it's the lightest laptop in the world, at least for now. According to Toshiba this lightweight heavy hitter weighs in at just 2.4lbs.

Toshiba Protege R500 Weight Comparison

Apple MacBook Air - 3lbs
Lenovo Thinkpad X300 - 2.93lbs
Toshiba Protege R500 - 2.4lbs

These laptops are getting crazy light and still providing a ton of accessories and power. I am seriously beside myself with todays laptop technology, since I still have a Gateway laptop that weighs probably close to 20lbs. :)

The all new Satellite A300 is the latest laptop from Toshiba and believe it or not, it's designed to be fashion aware. That's right, the A300 comes with Toshiba's commitment to functionality and performance with good looks thrown in for free...well ok, not free. But come on, just take a look at this new notebooks lines and it's quite clear the designer was working over time.

Are you ready to buy one yet? Personally I have spit rain starting to foam at both corners of my mouth and I don't even need a new laptop. But if I were in the market for a new system, the Toshiba Satellite A300 would be at the top of the list.

No consumer product manufacturer is without complaints. However, it's how they recover from these complaints and take care of the customer that really matters. Toshiba products have problems, just like any electronic, but how Toshiba deals with the complaints and positive recovery is what sets the standard for the industry.

The general complaints about Toshiba has to actually deal with stores like Best Buy trying to sell you an extended warranty. The truth is that this has nothing to do with Toshiba's actual manufacturer warranty. The service that suffers is the actual replacement warranty that these retail businesses are offering.

Although Toshiba has been known for good customer support, complaints and ill experiences can plague anyone. It really can boil down to the Toshiba customer support representative you speak with and probably if it's getting close to closing time. Unfortunately this is the nature of the world in any industry.

If you are like me, you are constantly looking for a deal and trying to find a way to cut the middle man out. After all, middle men just mean more mark up by the time the Toshiba product makes it to you. Thanks to the internet, this is becoming less and less of a problem, so now when looking to purchase a Toshiba laptop you can go direct, Toshiba Direct.

Toshiba Direct carries a full line of Toshiba products like:

But if buying new isn't your thing, then online marketplaces like eBay offer used Toshiba TV's and other products at a deep discount. Often times taking a depreciated item like a Toshiba HD TV on eBay can save you thousands of dollars!

Toshiba has announced that they will officially be building the largest capacity 1.8" hard drive ever. Their new drive will have a spin at 5400rpm of pure badassness.

Basically this hard drive will drip with sex and store all the pics you need. With 160GB of laptop storage now at your finger tips, it may be time to finally trash that desktop...nah. :)
