Toshiba has announced a price point for their 1080p 47" HDTV, the 47HL167 at $1,599. The TV comes with an HD tuner, so it's ready to roll when the analog channels are obsolete. This is the latest addition to the REGZA series.

Great TV i love it. November 27, 2007I didnt buy at at amazon, but i love this. I have had no complaints, no dislikes, and nothing to quit working. i have owned this for almost 6 months now.
Good stuff for the price November 22, 2007Some might argue that this TV is not up to the 'sony/samsung' level. I believe they are entirely right. But a 47" 1080p for $1500 with a good picture, who can argue with that.
